The creation of a digital society will require a renewal of the education system in accordance with international best practices. Emphasis will be placed on the development of creative and critical thinking, as well as on the use of modern educational technologies in the learning process.

In accordance with the State Program "Digital Kazakhstan", in the field of education, a target indicator is provided to increase the level of digital literacy of the population by 2022 to 83%.

Digital literacy is a person's knowledge and ability of a person to use information and communication technologies in everyday and professional activities. Today, the level of digital literacy in Kazakhstan, according to the Committee on Statistics of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan is 84.1%.
