The meeting was held in National Information Technologies JSC between Kazakhstani and Uzbekistani parties to familiarize with the practice of public services delivery via www.egov.kz portal.
The delegation included the representatives from Uzbekistani Ministries of Justice and of IT and Communications Development. In the course of the meeting, Kazakhstani practice of public e-services delivery was presented to the attendees. In particular, eGov.kz portal and “Personal Cabinet” capabilities were shown.
It should be mentioned that the popularity of e-Gov portal is growing increasingly and the number of users registered has already exceeded 6.9 million. The eGov.kz portal is accessible anywhere throughout the country. To use it, it`s sufficient to obtain digital signature once and have access to the Internet. Today, 237 services are available at eGov.kz portal.
It should be reminded that in UN E-Government Development Index, Kazakhstan is ranked 33rd and Uzbekistan 80th, while among Asian countries, Kazakhstan is ranked 7th and Uzbekistan 22nd.
For reference: The UN Global E-Government Development Index is a composite indicator which assesses the governments` readiness and capabilities of using ICT to provide citizens with public services.
