For nine months this year, 20,064 legal entities were registered via Kazakhstan e-Government Portal. So, the total number of companies that have undergone state registration on eGov portal as of November 1, 2015 was 63 211.
The service of state registration of a legal entity, recording registration of branches and representative offices thereof has been available on e-Government Portal since 2013. In the first year, the service was used 19,307 times, while in 2014 году – 23,840 times.
To obtain the online service, all a user has to do is to fill out the application form, and within a day the reply will come to user’s Personal cabinet as an e-abstract of state registration or of refusal. At the steps of filling out the online application, the system automatically checks the entrepreneur for ownership of real estate, and in a few seconds the name of legal entity under registration is checked for possible duplication of the already existing one.
Note that, while previously an applicant visited a government agency with five or more documents and was waiting for verification of data for obtainment of state registration for the period of 5 to 30 days, the entire procedure in electronic format takes today no more than a day, and no documents are to be submitted.
Accelerating the business registration procedure in Kazakhstan became possible thanks to the public services automation and optimization process. In the beginning of this year, the state registration became free of charge for SMEs.

Note that this year, Kazakhstan rose by 32 lines in the “Doing Business” rating’s “Businesses Incorporation” Index, having risen from the 53rd position to the 21st.
