The sum of payments via Kazakhstan egov payment gateway has exceeded KZT 10 billion since the launch of then system.
The biggest share of payments falls on traffic infraction fines: over KZT 6.8 billion. The second position is occupied by payment of state duties abour KZT 1.7 billion. The sum of tax payments is more than KZT 1 billion.
It should be also mentioned that over KZT 6 billion were paid by citizens within only 8 months this year. Moreover, citizens used the e-payment system very actively during the summer: within the last 3 months, payment for the amount of over KZT 3 billion passed through the egov payment gateway. Just to compare, the same amount was paid via egov for the entire 2014.
Altogether, 46 types of payments are accessible on the e-Government portal, including for public utilities, telecommunication services, contributions to Housing Construction Savings Bank, etc. Full list of online payments can be found here.
For reference: “e-Government Payment Gateway” information system has been operated in Kazakhstan since 2010. It is aimed at automation and integration with banks and with government agencies’ information systems in order to provide citizens with electronic methods for payment for public services rendered in terms of e-Government.
