Now mothers-to-be can apply for a social benefit in case of income loss due to pregnancy and childbirth, adoption of a newborn child (children) through the eGov.kz portal and the eGov Mobile app.
The service is available online and is delivered free-of-charge. Thanks to the new service, mothers-to-be have a capability to submit an online application for social benefits when going on maternity leave. Previously, the service was delivered in paper via CSCs.
It should be noted that the updates were implemented under the framework of the Presidential Decree on the De-Bureaucratization, the importance of which lies in digital transformation and system re-engineering of all the spheres of public administration.
"The service is very popular. In cooperation with government agencies, we transferred it to an online format to make it convenient for pregnant women, to save their time, to reduce paperwork as well as trips to CSC. Thanks to the work done by the NIT JSC team, the service is available on the eGov.kz portal and the eGov Mobile app. These changes make the process of receiving the service more convenient, faster and future parents can use the saved time to prepare for the birth of a child," said Rostislav Konyashkin, Chairman of the Board of National Information Technologies JSC.
Since the service launch, 120 citizens have already successfully got the service via the eGov.kz portal.
To get the new service through the eGov.kz portal and the eGov Mobile app, one should find the service called "Assignment of social benefits in cases of income loss due to pregnancy and childbirth, adoption of a newborn child (children)" in the list of services.
The public service delivery term is 8 working days. A notification on the assignment of social benefit indicating the amount or a substantiated refusal is sent to the Personal Account on the eGov.kz portal and to the "Notifications" section on the eGov Mobile app.
In order to successfully submit an application online, it is important that a medical organization enter information on the sick leave in the Register of Pregnant Women, and an electronic information on a pregnant woman was filled in by an employer`s HR Department in the Unified System for Accounting of Employment Contracts (http://esutd.gov.kz/sutd /).
Note, there is some useful information regarding maternity leave available on the eGov.kz portal (https://egov.kz/cms/ru/articles/child/ui_decret), and in the eGov Mobile app, one can find useful materials in the "Real-Life Situations" section.
The service was implemented thanks to the joint work of National Information Technologies JSC, the State Services Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
