Children of the Republic of Kazakhstan are provided with free medicines and medical products in accordance with the approved List of medicines and medical products within the guaranteed volume of free medical care, including certain categories of citizens with certain diseases free or concessional medicines and specialized curative products on an outpatient level.
Newborn children in Kazakhstan are provided with free first-aid kits "Mother and Child" for the prevention and treatment of neonatal diseases, infant nutrition (early artificial or mixed feeding for medical reasons).
According to the list, children are provided with free medicines from the resources of the republican and local budgets.
Categories such as:
infantile cerebral palsy, pneumonia, bronchial asthma, iron deficiency anemia, rickets, acute pharyngitis / tonsillitis / bronchitis, eilepsy, mental illness, infantile cerebral palsy.
The list of drugs includes:
- Amoxicillin, capsule, tablet, including dispersible, powder for suspension, for oral ingestion;
- Paracetamol, suppositories;
- Ibuprofen, suspension;
- Amoxicillin + clavulanic acid, tablets, powder for the preparation of oral suspension.
For children under 1 year in the autumn and winter period are given prevention of rickets with drugs of ergocalciferol, oily solution for oral ingestion, colcalferol, aqueous solution for oral ingestion.
How to get free medicines for a child?
According to the rules the issuance of "Maternal and Child Health Accessories" is carried out at discharge from the maternity hospital. The dispensing of medicinal products to children is free of charge or on preferential terms in the provision of outpatient care in accordance with the List through pharmacies that provide pharmaceutical services under the GVFMC (the guaranteed volume of free medical care), on the prescription of a doctor upon presentation of a document certifying the identity of the patient
