average score of an education document:
- for applicants to a bachelor's degree, an average score of a certificate or certificate of basic secondary education and a report card/transcript of current academic performance for the current year of study or a diploma of secondary special education should be at least 4.0 (out of 5.0);
- for applicants to a master's degree and residency training, an average score of a bachelor's degree/specialist or a transcript of current academic performance should be at least 3.0 (out of 4.0/4.33);
- for applicants to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree/doctor in specialized area, an average score of a master's degree or a transcript of current academic performance should be at least 3.0 (out of 4.0/4.33);
- for applicants submitting certificates of current academic performance, an average score of current academic performance should correspond to the above points, respectively
To participate in the competitive selection of applicants to study abroad, the following package of documents should be submitted to the International Programs Center JSC:
1) a completed questionnaire of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan traveling abroad to study under the contracts and agreements concluded between the governments or departments of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign countries, in the form according to Appendix 1 to these Rules;
2) an original version and a copy of a national ID and/or passport, if an original version is not provided, then a notarized copy is needed (an original version is returned to an applicant after verification);
3) an original version and a copy of a document on education, if an original version is not provided, then a notarized copy is needed (an original version is returned to an applicant after verification):
to study under the bachelor's degree program:
a certificate with a transcript or a certificate of basic secondary education with a transcript, a certificate of student status with a report card or transcript of progress for the current year of study under the program of secondary special education or a diploma of special secondary education with a transcript;
to study under the master's degree program:
bachelor's/specialist's diploma with a transcript or certificate of student status with a transcript of academic performance for a current year;
to study under the doctoral program:
master`s diploma with a transcript or certificate of student status with a transcript of academic performance for a current year.
In case if documents were issued by a foreign educational organization, an applicant provides a notarized translation of a document on education;
4) a document confirming knowledge of a foreign language corresponding to the language of instruction with the provision of an original version for verification (at the request of a receiving party), if available. If a host party provides language training, a document confirming knowledge of a foreign language is not required;
5) copies of diplomas and certificates in a chosen field of study received for participation in an event of national or international level (if available);
6) a notarized power of attorney, if documents are submitted through a representative;
7) written consent of a legal representative (parents, adoptive parents, guardian or trustee, foster parent, foster carer) of an applicant for a referral to study abroad (for persons under 18 years old);
8) a copy and original version of a document confirming that a person falls under one of the categories of persons specified in Clause 14 of the Rules (an original version is returned to an applicant after verification):
- orphans and children left without parental care: a copy of document confirming the absence of parents;
- disabled persons from childhood and disabled children: a copy of disability certificate in the form approved by the Order of the Minister of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan as of January 30, 2015 No. 44 "On approval of the Rules for conducting medical and social assessment" (registered in the Register of State Registration of Regulatory Legal Acts under No. 10589);
- children from large families: copies of birth certificates of four or more minor children living together or a copy of a court decision on adoption.
- a copy of invitation of a foreign organization of higher and (or) postgraduate education with a notarized translation into the state language, if available.
