March 12, 2015A new mobile e-Government application has been made available to Kazakhstan citizens. From now on, over 50 e-services can be obtained via mobile devices.
eGov.kz mobile app is designed for delivering most popular egov portal’s services to Kazakhstan public based on one-stop shop principle. The app is available for smartphones on Android an iOS operating systems.
As Daulet Bekmanov, the Head of e-Services Control Office in Communication, Informatization & Information Committee under Ministry of Investments & Development reported, “50 services are accessible in the new mobile app, as well as the “Mobile Personal Cabinet” where a citizen can view his/her personal data kept in national databases. By the year-end, we are planning to migrate 20 more services to mobile format”.
Note that in “Mobile Personal Cabinet”, the information is available on a citizen’s location, residential address, participation in legal entities is contained, as well as on marriage, on traffic infraction fines, on ownership of real estate/vehicles, etc.
Subject to having the digital signature recorded his/her phone, a citizen may obtain an abstract of residential address, information on ownership of land parcel, abstract of birth, marriage, of ownership/non-ownership of real estate, etc.
“The new application was developed as part of Mobile Government Project. The eGov.kz app will allow achieving a whole new level in responsiveness and convenience in obtaining government agencies’ services. Using the app, you will find all data on yourself, order necessary abstract/certificate, and also receive PUSH or SMS notifications in case of the need to replace any document” CEO of National Information Technologies JSC Ruslan Yensebayev says.
In addition, the new app will allow using such services as: viewing the number of queue for housing; timelines for vehicle technical checkup; checking the licenses and cheques; reserving the queue to Citizen Service center, as well as searching for pharmacies. Moreover, through the app, users can pay for public utilities, taxes, state duties, telecom services, as well as topping up the accounts in ZhilStroySberBank.
It is worth reminding that migration of services to mobile format is being performed as part of National “Information Kazakhstan – 2020” Program approved by President.
