March 11, 2015The free access to governmental data is gaining great popularity around the world. In Kazakhstan, big effort is in progress to provide government agencies’ data to citizens. Open Data Portal asks that you answer 12 questions in the questionnaire which would take you no more than 3 minutes. By answering the questionnaire you will help us find out which datasets must be first provided as publicly available. You will thus contribute to making our government transparent one.

If you are interested in attending the Round Table on Open Data, with the Open Data 500 participating, you should present your contact details in the end of the questionnaire. The Round Table is to be held on April 20 this year. At that event, it is planned to discuss all problems in providing access to governmental data and the interoperation Open Data is the publicly available information that can be automatically processed by computer software for further use in re-publication. All over the world, the open data-based helpful apps and services – on crime rate, on quantity of power consumed, or on schoolchildren’s progress – are quite usual practices.
