Acceptance of documents for participation in the competition and enrollment in the autonomous educational organization “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” within the framework of the educational grant of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Orken”
Dear applicants!
The submission of documents for participation in the competition for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s educational grant “Örken” will be conducted from January 5 to February 9, 2026. The application for participation in the competition can be submitted through the Portal or at the admissions offices of the branches of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools.
Submission of documents via:
1) Portal – from 09:00 on January 5, 24/7, except for technical breaks due to maintenance work;
2) Service provider in paper form – from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00, excluding weekends and public holidays; lunch break from 12:30 to 13:30.
Applicants studying in grades 7–9 of secondary education institutions are not entitled to apply for repeated enrollment in the same grade at the service provider in the following academic year. In the presence of an existing application or if the applicant has a pass, the applicant’s legal representatives may not submit a new application for participation in the competition for enrollment at Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s educational grant “Örken.”
Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who are studying in grade 6 of secondary education institutions at the time of application and are applying for enrollment in grade 7 of the Intellectual Schools are eligible to participate in the competition.
Documents required for submission via the Portal:
- a color electronic copy of a report card/certificate or another official document issued by the school in the state or Russian language, or a notarized translation into the state or Russian language, specifying the grade level, academic/calendar year, and the date of issue, for applicants currently enrolled in foreign educational institutions at the time of submission;
- a digital color photograph of the applicant:
- a colour, full-face photograph taken against a light background, with a neutral facial expression and closed mouth;
- with eyes open, clearly visible, and not obscured by hair;
- the face shall occupy 70–85% of the total area of the photograph;
- a JPEG graphic file, 3×4 cm, with a maximum file size of 1 MB;
- a minimum size of 450×600 pixels with a resolution of at least 80 pixels per inch (dpi).
The following is not allowed:
- photograph with a head covering or wearing glasses;
- the use of images produced by computer scanning, modeling, or photocopying.
The service provider receives information regarding identity documents and birth certificates from the relevant government information systems via the e-Government Gateway.
How to obtain the service from the service provider in paper form (required documents for participation in the competition):
- application for participation in the competition and consent;
- birth certificate / identity document (the original is required for identification and is returned to the applicant) or an electronic document obtained from the Digital Documents service;
- identity document (the original is required for identification and is returned to the applicant) or an electronic document obtained from the applicant’s legal representative’s Digital Documents service;
If necessary, at the service provider’s request, the applicant’s legal representatives provide a document confirming the applicant’s citizenship;
- a copy of the applicant’s report card for the current academic year. The required documents must be signed by the head and stamped with the seal of the relevant educational institution;
- applicants who are studying at foreign educational institutions at the time of document submission must attach/upload a color copy of the report card/certificate or another official school document in the state or Russian language, or a notarized translation into the state or Russian language, indicating the grade level, academic/calendar year, and date of issuance of the certificate;
- a digital colour photograph of the applicant:
- a colour, full-face photograph taken against a light background, with a neutral facial expression and closed mouth;
- with eyes open, clearly visible, and not obscured by hair;
- the face shall occupy 70–85% of the total area of the photograph;
- a JPEG graphic file, 3×4 cm, with a maximum file size of 1 MB;
- a minimum size of 450×600 pixels with a resolution of at least 80 pixels per inch (dpi).
The following is not allowed:

- power of attorney (in case the application is submitted by a third party on behalf of the applicant’s legal representatives);
