They are exempt from paying the state fee for registration of civil status acts upon presentation of supporting documents listed in the Rules.

Terms of the service delivery

registration of marriage (matrimony) is carried out after fifteen calendar days from the date of submission of the application to the service provider by those wishing to enter into marriage (matrimony) (the day of admission is not included in the period for the provision of public services).

If there are valid reasons confirmed by the relevant documents - before the expiration of fifteen calendar days or increases this period, but not more than fifteen calendar days on the basis of a written application of the service recipients on the day of filing the application

If there are special circumstances - on the day of application of the application with mandatory indication of the reason and supporting documents.

Amendments, additions and corrections to the record of the act of civil status - 5 working days.

In the absence of IP registry office records the service period shall be extended for not more than 15 calendar days, notifying the applicant within 3 calendar days (subject to extension of term of consideration of applications received through State Corporation the result of rendering the state service, shall be sent by the service provider in Public Corporation).

On the portal – notification of confirmation of acceptance of the application is sent to your personal account within 1 working day.

How to get a service online  
Person applying for marriage registration must:

  1. Log in on the portal and click the Request Online button.
  2. Fill the application. Application should indicate IIN of husband/wife and choose the department of civil registry office in which the marriage will be registered.
  3. Sign the application with EDS (electronic digital signature).
  4. To get the confirmation of application by future husband/wife. Application can be confirmed within 48 hours and then is canceled.

Person who confirms the application on marriage registration must:

  1. Log in on the portal and in the «History of services obtaining» choose the request awaiting for signing.
  2. Fill the application and sign it with EDS (electronic digital signature).
  3. Make a payment by clicking the "Pay" button on the page of the Payment Gateway of the "e-government".
  4. Sign the application with EDS (electronic digital signature). 

How to get the service  at  state agency (required documents):

  1. Application.
  2. ID card the applicant’s personality (for personal identification).
  3. Document confirming the payment for the budget tax.

Foreigners and persons without citizenship additionally submits

Upon the necessity to decrease the marriage age established by the Law, additionally submitting

Age of marriage for women and men - 18 years old.

The state registration of marriage (matrimony) is carried out by the registering authority, the foreign establishment of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the fifteenth calendar day, which is calculated from the next working day after the filing of a joint application for marriage (matrimony).
If the end of the term falls on a non-working day, then the day of the end of the term is considered to be the working day following it.

 

Result of the service delivery

Certificate of the state marriage registration’s (matrimony), repeated certificate of marriage (matrimony) with amendments, additions and corrections, or a reasoned response to the refusal to provide public services.

The form of providing the result of the provision of public services: paper, electronic, when a certificate of marriage (matrimony) is sent, a reasoned refusal when submitting an application through the portal.
