The main task of the judiciary is to resolve conflicts and disputes that arise in public and state life, restore violated rights, punish those who have violated the law and order. The judiciary is exercised only by the court, no one else in the RK has the right to administer justice.
The judicial system should be understood as the totality of all vessels in Kazakhstan. The judicial system includes the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan and local courts established in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Constitutional Law.
The Supreme Court is the supreme judicial body for civil, criminal and other cases, which is subject to local and other courts, exercises the functions of the cassation instance in relation to them and provides explanations on judicial practice issues through the adoption of regulatory decisions.
The Supreme Court consists of the Chairman, the chairmen of the judicial boards and judges.
The Chairman of the Supreme Court and judges of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan are elected by the Senate on the proposal of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, based on the recommendation of the Supreme Judicial Council. The chairmen of the judicial boards of local and other courts, the chairmen of the Supreme Court's judicial boards are appointed by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the recommendation of the Supreme Judicial Council on the basis of the submission of the Chairman of the Supreme Court and the decision of the plenary session of the Supreme Court. The chairmen of local and other courts, judges of local and other courts are appointed to the post by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the recommendation of the Supreme Judicial Council.
Judicial acts of local and other courts which have come into legal force in case of observance of an appeal procedure of their appeal, and also judicial acts of specialized judicial board of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan can be reconsidered in a cassation order by the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 18:20Нравится
The Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan considers and resolves civil cases in accordance with the rules of the court of first instance:
- on contesting decisions and actions (inaction) of the Central Election Commission, decisions and actions (inaction) of the Central Referendum Commission;
- on investment disputes, the party in which is a large investor.

Local courts include:
- regional and equivalent courts;
- district and equivalent courts.
Other courts may be established in the Republic of Kazakhstan, including specialized courts (military, financial, economic, administrative, juvenile affairs and others).
Specialized courts are formed by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the status of a regional or district court.
