Instructions for registering a mobile phone number in the Mobile Citizens Database (MCD) Printable version

The Mobile Citizens Database (MCD) is the national database of mobile phone numbers used by individuals to access electronic public services, authenticate actions using one-time SMS verification codes, and sign in to and digitally sign services on the eGov.kz portal.

To register in the Mobile Citizens Database (MCD), you must:

• have a valid mobile number registered in your name with a mobile network operator.

Once you have successfully registered in the MCD, you will be able to log in and sign electronic services using an SMS password.

Step 1. How to register your mobile number in the MCD

Go to the eGov.kz portal and navigate to: For Citizenry-Transport and Communications-Communications, Select the "Registration of a Subscriber Number in the Mobile Citizens Database" service and click "Request Online".

Step 2. User verification

Enter your IIN and click "Submit Request".

Step 3. Mobile number confirmation

The system will display the mobile phone number registered under your IIN.

If multiple phone numbers are associated with your IIN, select the number you wish to register in the Mobile Citizens Database.

Click "Send One-Time SMS Code".

Step 4. SMS verification

Enter the one-time SMS verification code sent to the selected mobile phone number from 1414, then click "Confirm".

Step 5. Registration completion

After successful confirmation, the registration in the Mobile Citizens Database will be completed.

Note!

• The mobile phone number must already be registered under your IIN with your mobile network operator.
• The one-time SMS verification code is sent from 1414.
• If you do not receive the SMS code, check your mobile network connection and try again.
• If you encounter technical issues, please contact the Single Contact Centre at 1414.
