Information on the activities of the B. Beisenov Karaganda Academy under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Printable version

The B. Beisenov Karaganda Academy under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan provides higher education in accordance with the state compulsory education standard through full-time study under the educational programs "Law-Enforcement Activity" and "Countering Cybercrime", offering training in the following specializations: pre-trial investigation within internal affairs bodies; operational and investigative activities aimed at countering cybercrime; and operational and forensic activities of internal affairs bodies, with the acquisition of seven authorizations to conduct forensic examinations, including dactyloscopic, trasological, ballistic, cold weapons, facial, technical examination of documents, and handwriting examinations.

Advantages of training:

  • Enrollment and training under a state order. Accommodation in a comfortable hostel, scholarship, food, clothing allowance, payment for travels by intercity vehicles (except for taxi), rail and water transport to the place of permanent residence and back during the holidays.
  • For those who have completed a full–time course, the period of training is equated to the undergoing of military service.
  • Employment of graduates with referral to service based on distribution.
  • Upon completion of their studies, graduates are awarded a state-recognized diploma conferring the qualification of Bachelor of National Security and Military Affairs, and, by order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, are granted the special rank of Police Lieutenant.

Enrollment procedure:

Persons with secondary education who have reached the age of sixteen can enroll to law-enforcement education organizations.

The Unified National Testing (UNT) is held at the National Testing Center at the place of residence in the period from May 16 to July 7.

When taking the UNT, applicants can select two vocation-related subjects in any variation (except for a creative exam) according to Appendix 5 to the Rules of the UNT approved by the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan as of May 2, 2017 No. 204.

To participate in the competitive selection process, applicants must obtain at least 50 points on the UNT, including no fewer than 5 points in each subject; for mathematical literacy and reading literacy, the minimum passing score is at least 3 points.

Applications are accepted until July 1 of the year of admission via the Academy’s official website (kpa.edu.kz) or through the local police department at the applicant’s place of residence.

Upon successful completion of medical examination, special inspection and UNT, candidates are invited to the Academy to participate in the competitive selection process based on their UNT certificate scores, taking into account the results of medical, physical, and psychophysiological assessments.
