INFORMATION STATEMENT Printable version
June 25, 2026In 2026, the public service for submitting applications to technical, vocational and post-secondary education institutions has been migrated to the Educational Platform OQU (oqu.edu.kz). Through the platform, users can submit an application, select an educational institution, and track the status of their application throughout the admissions process.
Applications may also be submitted via the "Services" section of the eGov Mobile app or through the eGov.kz portal. In both cases, users access the service by authenticating through eGov, after which they are automatically redirected to the OQU platform, where the application is completed. Authentication is available using a digital signature (DS), eGov QR, or a username and password.
To submit an application, applicants should complete the following steps:
- log in on the eGov.kz portal;
- navigate to Education - Colleges and select Admission to Technical, Vocational and Post-Secondary Education Institutions;
- provide consent to the collection and processing of personal data, after which the applicant will be redirected to the oqu.edu.kz platform;
- complete the applicant information section (additional contact phone number, applicant category, etc.);
- provide information about previously completed education;
- select the educational institution, programme of study, and language of instruction;
- sign the request using one of the available signing methods.
A step-by-step video tutorial on how to submit an application is available at: https://www.youtube.com.
Acceptance of applications starts on June 25 at 9:00 AM. Application deadlines vary depending on the programme of study: for working qualification programmes – until August 27; for secondary-level specialist programmes (based on Grade 9 or Grade 11 completion) – until August 22; for creative programmes – until July 20. For teacher education programmes (based on Grade 9, Grade 11, or technical, vocational and post-secondary education) – until August 10; for medical programmes – the deadline depends on the applicant's educational background: based on Grade 9 completion – until August 10; based on Grade 11 completion or technical, vocational and post-secondary education – until August 15; for evening study programmes – until September 20.
The admission process for Grade 1 was previously migrated to the OQU platform. The project demonstrated the system's reliable performance under peak demand, with more than 100.000 applications submitted during the first two weeks.
The migration of the college admissions process was carried out using the same architecture and deployment approach. The technological foundation is provided by the QazTech platform, developed with the participation of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and National Information Technologies JSC. This has ensured the stable and reliable operation of the service during periods of high-volume application submissions.
