Starting July 13, applications for participation in the competition for the award of educational grants will be accepted through the eGov mobile application and the eGov.kz portal. Applications may be submitted online from 09:00 on July 13 to 18:00 on July 20. This year, the service has been enhanced. The system now automatically verifies whether an applicant has already been awarded a state educational grant outside the competitive selection process.

The verification is performed automatically based on data provided by the National Testing Center. If the applicant has already been awarded a state educational grant outside the general competition, the system will notify them when the application is submitted. In such cases, there is no need to submit another application through the eGov.kz portal or the eGov Mobile app.

All other applicants shall submit their applications in accordance with the standard procedure. If an applicant belongs to a preferential category, the corresponding status is indicated during the application process and verified automatically.

To submit an application online, users must:

• sign in to the eGov.kz portal and navigate to "For Citizenry" → "Education" → "Higher Education";
• select the service "Award of educational grants and provision of social support to students of higher and (or) postgraduate education institutions";
• click "Request Online";
• complete all the required fields and sign the application using one of the available signing methods;
• track the status in personal account (a notification on the application processing will appear in the "History of Obtained History" section).

Submitting an application through the eGov Mobile app follows the same procedure.

During periods of high demand, the eGov.kz portal distributes user traffic through an electronic queue. Once a user's turn arrives, the system automatically grants access to the service. To avoid having to track it manually, check the "Notify me by SMS when the queue is approaching" box. The notification will be sent from the number 1414 to the mobile phone number registered in the Mobile Citizens Database. If the number is missing from the database, it can be entered manually. It is not recommended to close or refresh the browser tab while waiting, as this will result in losing your place in the queue.

After submitting the application, the applicant will receive a Certificate of participation in the competition for the award of an educational grant in the personal account on eGov.kz.

Upon completion of the competition, the applicant will receive an electronic Certificate of Award of the Educational Grant, available in the personal account on eGov.kz no later than August 10. If the educational grant has not been awarded based on the competition results, a notification with information about the refusal will also be sent to a personal account.

The service has been implemented by the Public Services Committee of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National Information Technologies JSC and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
