National Information Technologies JSC announces that two-factor authentication has been introduced in the personal account of the National Certification Authority of the Republic of Kazakhstan for user authorization.

From now on, in addition to using a digital signature and a key password, users must complete an additional verification step using one of the following methods:

• by entering a one-time verification code sent via SMS to the mobile phone number registered in the Mobile Citizens Database of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• by entering the code from the digital document "National ID Card" available in the eGov Mobile app.

It should be noted that this mechanism does not apply to non-residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan due to the absence of a registered phone number in the Mobile Citizens Database of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This additional verification step is intended to enhance security and protect user accounts against unauthorized access.
